Stacy is an Indigenous educator, leader, and innovator from the Mohawk, Turtle Clan at the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. For over twenty years she has been working in multiple educational environments on and off reserve, from babes in arms to post secondary levels. She is currently a freelance consultant working with Indigenous communities to build Indigenized educational systems.
Stacy’s most recent roles have been as the school administrator for the Everlasting Tree School, and she was instrumental in the creation of HAWI (Haudenosaunee And Waldorf Inspired), a partnership between three Mohawk Immersion schools to create earth-based, culture and language immersion programming. She is an intermediate-mid speaker of Kanyen’keha (Mohawk Language).
Stacy has been actively involved in the community since childhood, creating many community organizations and programs throughout her life and contributing her innovative ideas to build a better tomorrow for Indigenous people in community.
